My Little Piece

Of Heaven

I wonder who first named

Roses the flowers of love

Could it have been an Angel

Visiting from Heaven above.

Was God thinking of lovers

When he painted a full moon

And hung stars in the sky

To help proposals come soon.

Could our lives on earth

Just be a stepping stone

Preparing us for another sphere

That will be our forever home?

Darling if I see you there

My wondering will be through

My little piece of Heaven

Will be knowing I'm with you.
