The school bell will be ringing soon
I sure wish I didn't have to go
Because yesterday was a rough day
And to top it off it sure passed slow.
Teacher told me to stop daydreaming
To get my mind on my school books
So I bet she'll be watching me today
And giving me some stern looks.
I asked Mama if I could stay home
But her look said what she didn't say
So I'll be leaving for school soon
Hoping today will be better than yesterday.
