The Pipe Dreamer

He sits in his chair planning

Many things he might never do

His friends tell him he must act

But he never takes their cue.

The pipe dreamer believes he

Can climb mountains from his chair

Evidently he doesn't realize

To do things you have to be there.

He must come back to reality

Start working towards goals he sets

Opportunities are there if he acts

And pipe dreaming he forgets.

Where there is life there is hope

If only he realizes what he must do

Possibly he might even invent something

That would benefit both me and you.
