Sometimes Memories Come To Mind
Some of my memories are special Like one back when I was a boy Hearing Mother's voice again And remembering her love for me_ This memory fills my heart with joy.
Sometimes memories come to mind Of my sister asking me to play Anticipation in her waiting eyes And her joy when I told her okay_ Memories like this make my day.
Memories of the school bell ringing On the final day before summer begins Happiness on all our young faces Trying to be first out the school doors_ If only I could live those days again.
I hope memories of today for my children Are all pleasant ones_ just like mine So that one day they can close their eyes And turn the clock back to their childhood_ Remembering it as their very special time.
