SERENE SUNSET

The sunset illuminates the sky

With radiant colors

While the roaring ocean and

Sea gulls harmonize a melody.

The soft sand blankets my feet

As a cool breeze wisps

Circles through my hair.

The serenity of scenes like this

Helps as thoughts of daily problems

Run through my relaxed mind.

Soon life's burdens ease as the

Colors fade from the sky

I find myself ready to go home

And ready to face tomorrow.
