My heart cries out in silent pain
Each time I remember my past mistakes
Why were most of my decisions wrong
These thoughts each night keep me awake.

Was it because of immaturity or selfish greed
Causing most of my decisions to be wrong
Is it too late to step out of darkness into light
Or has the chance to correct my mistakes gone?

Why did it take me this long to realize
My thoughtless mistakes would cause pain
For all those who are special in my heart
Without knowing I alone would be the blame?
