Regretfully
Like One Day It Will

Sometimes we do not
Comprehend what we have
Until one day in just
One moment it is gone.

Too late we will then realize
Nothing lasts forever
And know our concept
About life has been wrong.

Each day God has given us
Is a blessing in itself
Amazingly this is something
We seldom think about.

Until one day our health fails
Regretfully like one day it will
Then too late we will realize
The blessings we had
And knowing
Our continued existence
Is in doubt.
