She Always
Cried
Too
When I watch the
smiles
On the face of a child
Receiving a new toy
The memory stays
awhile.
But oh how it hurts
me
When a sick child cries
The pain I feel bring
Tears into my
eyes.
Mom told me:
When I was very
young
And received a new toy
When she saw my smiles
It filled her heart
with joy.
Then Mom told me:
Those times I was
sick
And cried like sick children do
She always cried
too.
