Starting Right Now

For some reason the older I get
The more old memories come to mind
I find myself feeling good inside
When my memories are the good kind.

Sadly, all my memories aren't pleasant
When I recall those I feel very sad
And wonder if I could have done more
To keep those memories from being bad.

If I could live my life all over again
And knew all the things I know today
I would do the best I possibly could
To do better in each and every way.

A second chance I realize is impossible
But one thing I know I still can do
Is start being as good as I possibly can
To everyone and darling especially to you.

And I will, starting right now.....
