My Best

It seems only like yesterday

I was a young man of twenty-one

It was in that year we met

A year I hold second to none.

The first moment I saw you

Is in my mind to stay

Many years have passed since

But that moment is foremost today.

I remember standing and watching

Never a more beautiful sight anywhere

A cool ocean breeze covering

Your face with your long golden hair.

In that moment I gave you my heart

It's still yours and always will be

But the moment I cherish even more

Was the moment you gave your heart to me.
