And That Was Love
Lust for treasures beyond your grasp
While not thankful for those you’d already obtained
Will smother love once in your heart
With your selfish desires for material gain
Compassion you once possessed will be replaced
With your undying yearning for material treasures
Causing dear once who loved you to walk away
Leaving you alone to worship your earthly pleasures
One day too late you’ll realize to your dismay
No one is there to comfort you when you’re sad
Sadly then you’ll realize what was important
Was the treasures you already had
And that was love
