The patter of little feet
Can be heard in every room
It's amazing how babies
Can learn to walk so soon.
Time moves on baby grows
Into a teenage girl or boy
All interest is lost
For a favorite baby toy.
Time continues moving on
The teenager is fully grown
Parents tearfully realizes
Soon their baby will be gone
Leaving them alone....
