The Old Man Walked
On_Alone
An old man walked by himself alone
Wiping tears away with his
hands
His thoughts were going backwards
To moments he'd like to live
again.
One more chance he wished he had
To change decisions he had
made
Never to marry and have a family
Because foolishly he was
afraid.
Now he has money beyond his dreams
But no one does he have who
cares
Or to share things money can buy
No one to mention in his
prayers.
He'll continue on as best he can
There's not anything else he
knows to do
He hopes he'll be able to help someone else
Avoid mistakes
they can't undo.
The old man walked on_alone.....
