Back At You

You said an emptiness was in your heart
Only my loving you could fill
When I found out your words were untrue
My smooth road changed into a rocky hill.

Why did I have to learn from a friend
That you had found someone new
I didn't believe you would be so cruel
Doing this to me doesn't sound like you.

Don't break another heart like you did mine
With untruthful promises you shouldn't make
Because eventually lies will come back at you
Too late you'll realize lying was a mistake.

Lying will always come back at you....
