In A Touching
Kind
Of Way

An
antiqua picture frame
I found in my attic yesterday
Protects the picture
of a lady
Whose beauty warmed my heart
In a touching kind of
way.
There is no way for
me to know
Who the lady in the picture might be
But I wish I could have
known her
And maybe by some miracle
She would have loved
me.
I took her picture
downstairs
And placed it for everyone to see
If someone asks who her
husband was
I will smiling in a low voice say
"I do not know, but I wish
it had been me."
