In The Way
Good Friends Do

Each poem I have written
Came straight from my heart
And you my dear friend
I want you to know
You live inside my heart
In a very special part.

I cannot imagine
What my life would have been
Had you not become my friend
You are very special to me
And you will be until the end.

Each of us need someone
We know will always be there
And you my dear friend I know
In those times I need you
I know you will come
Comfort me anywhere.

I want you to know dear friend
When things go wrong for you
I will be there with my heart
And comfort you as best I can
In the way good friends do.
