I'm Like The Shadow
On My Wall
I saw a shadow on my wall that made me think of you
Each time I moved the shadow seemed to disappear
Reminding me of the times you told me you loved me
Then changing your mind without shedding a single tear.
When I moved back to where the shadow could be seen
I wished there was a way I could make the shadow stay
Sadly, I knew it's impossible to tell a shadow what to do
Like I know making you love me there's no possible way.
Like the shadow cannot move, my heart can't forget you
So I will move down life's highway as best I possibly can
Hopelessly knowing my heart will always belong to you
Like I know I'll come back and try to win your love again.
I'm like the shadow on my wall.....
