Until I Realized
Each time I watched children playing
It reminded me of a long ago time
When I played children games too
Often I found myself wiping tears away
Realizing those days were far behind.
Until I realized:
One thing Father Time can't take away
Is the child that lives inside my heart
I cannot run like I did when I was young
But inside my heart a happy child lives
Playing childhood games at the park.
You are old as you allow yourself to be
Laugh at the face your mirror displays
Positive thinking can work miracles
Picture yourself the way you once were
You will remain young all of your days
