Let Your Heart Guide You

Life is much too short
To be mad with a friend
You know in your heart
It's time to make amends.

Swallow your pride
And take the first step
I am sure your friend too
Wants your friendship kept.

True friends are rare
As pearls in oyster shells
If both of you shake hands
Tomorrow all will be well.

Don't go through life
With never ceasing regret
Of losing a dear friend
You could never forget.

Let today be the day
Your friendship is renewed
Let your heart guide you
Doing so is way past due.
