Life Would Be Lonely

Without family or friends who love us
Our loneliness would grow each day
All directions we decided to travel
We wouldn't find happiness either way.

No one should travel through life alone
Or ever have to shed cold lonely tears
Our gold and silver wouldn't be enough
To make everlasting happiness appear.

It wasn't intended anyone being alone
Even a star has other stars nearby
Could this be God's way of telling us
If we are alone our lonely hearts will cry?

When our time on earth comes to an end
No family or friends would be there
This thought makes me thankful for having
Family and friends I know for me they care.
