With Me All My Life

Thinking back over decisions I've made
I am realizing many of them were wrong
Regretfully, there's no way I can go back
And correct mistakes in a time that's gone.

No one is perfect I believe all of us know
But if we try we can learn from our mistakes
And not make them today like we did yesterday
Determination to better ourselves is all it takes.

Today is the first day of the time I have left
I intend doing my very best beginning today
Not to make my past mistakes all over again
The wisdom I've learned from them will stay.

With me all of my life....
