Hopefully, He Will

A butterfly is such a gentle little thing
But oh my, the joy in my heart it brings
As it sits on my finger completely trusting me.

Admiring the butterfly a thought came to mind
If love and trust were shared by all mankind
Our world would be a happier place to live.

Could this little butterfly be trying to tell me
Love and trust is the way God intended it to be
To never hold a grudge and know how to forgive?

This little butterfly has made my day a better one
The time I am spending with him is lots of fun
I hope he greets me in my yard everyday.
