Suddenly
On a shelf he found a box
he didn't know was there,
when he opened the box
out fell a lock of hair.
Inside the box was a letter
on which he found his name,
carefully opening the letter
knowing from whom it came.
He slowly read precious words
written by his dear wife
expressing her love for him,
before departing her earthly life.
After wiping tears from his eyes
he held the lock of hair in his hand,
suddenly he realized he wasn't alone,
something only he could understand.
